Dwarfs can be together granted they are the same species. Did you get them all from the same tank? They sound like hybrids to me. Especially since you mentioned your WW's having red eyes. Red eyes are not found in pure WWs. The only colors of pure WW's are sapphire (greyish), agouti, and pearl (white). I've heard with pairs of 3s there is more potential for fighting. Two will pair up and the other feels left out. You should always have multiple cages when you are going to be housing multiple hamsters because the risk for fights are always there and they may need to be separated. I hope you are able to find them a good home if you separate them. Hamsters that go back to the petshop don't always get the chance to have another home

They were all in the same tank, yes. I was told the red eyes was due to an albino gene.

The truth is most petshops rarely, if ever, carry fully pure winter whites. Do you have any pictures of your hamsters? That would help us tell what species they are. As far as I know, the red eyed gene is from being crossed with RCs

I had two cages connected by tubes with some spots in between for them to stop in and play, which is where they ended up making their nest. I woke up this morning and Gray had a cut on his nose. I separated the cages and left him alone in one for now while I go to work.

Male dwarfs tend to get along slightly better than females, but I would watch them like hawks just in case. Actually, going by the behaviour (especially if they're sleeping apart), I would separate them. That does not sound like play-fighting to me; it sounds like bullying. I have personally had adult dwarf hamsters attack, kill, and cannibalize their blood relations. Better safe than sorry.

You did not mention the size of the cage in which they are housed, although if you can't get a different cage nothing will change anyway, so returning two (or at least Tan, as he seems to be the main instigator) is probably your best option.

And yeah, I'm going to have to agree that they don't sound like WWs; Tan is a red-eyed argente, which is a colour mutation specific to Campbell's dwarfs. There are charts online on how to tell the dwarf species apart, but I can't pull them up right now. You can Google photos and compare your kids to the pics; it's fairly easy once you see them side-by-side.

They aren't winter whites, after I looked it up online they didn't match the colourings. I don't know why I didn't think to google the pics and compare, so thank you for that good idea ^^;
