Poor tonks. Give im a tictac. (just kidding) Not sure if you can do anything about that, but are you sure that her teeth aren't too long? I think teeth that are too long can produce a foul odor in the mouth, but that usually goes along w/ not eating much and junk.
I know I've read something about hamster breath normally being on the 'whiffy side', but damned if I can find it anywhere! Maybe she had just eaten some poo? Do her teeth & gums look okay?(if she won't let you look, does she seem 'drooly' around the mouth or is she congested?) If she seems fine otherwise, get her some really hard dog biscuits(mine love Old Mother Hubbard Marrowbones or some nuts in the shell. I've been feeding mine hazelnuts(as treats), with mixed results. Two of them have no problem cracking the nut and the rest are lazy bastiches...
