Today we were at the pet store and there is this adorable Syrian. I so wanted to take him home. My husband has reminded me that we don't have the space and we had to think about it. We still occassionally get calls for rescues ( Read more... )

Haha I love how chain pet stores name all the different colors of Syrians and charge out the butt for expensive ones... I spend $20 on Sundae, because calico is RARE. o_o

Gold and white in a "panda" pattern would be so cute! :D

I'm always tempted to get another ham when I go to pet stores... But then I remember that I'm by myself and don't have time to give attention to TWO hams... Sundae's an attention whore, so she needs it all, hehe.

I saw a gold/white panda like one yesterday too! I was darn tempted. But Gus is my little man, and I don't have room at all for another. So, until it's time for Gus to go to Hamster Heaven, I will only have one. And he seems to be thriving in his old age.

When we bought Goomba, he had just arrived so of course he was still biting and untamed and the person helping us was trying to sell us a "panda hamster" which by the way looked full grown! It's funny how they do that and people go over there saying "ooh look a PANDA HAMSTER!"

ha ha ha just kidding of course.

I am always amazed at how some of the staff that works at the stores don't even realize that they are all the same type of hamster, just a different color.
