Slightly Off-Topic, but not really...

Can you recommend an inexpensive digital camera? (in the under $250 range; less is best) Of course I will use it to take pictures of my hamster, among other things!
The one I used to take pictures of him previously was a very inexpensive Fuji Finepix and it seems to have a hard time with small, up-close, moving objects. (ha ha)

Well, first of all try to buy rather brand then noname camera!
I would suggest to choose between Nikon (Coolpixs) and Canon (Powershots).
See that they got Macro mode in them. 3mpixels are probably your max with your price range.
Ignore digital zoom criteria (it's useless crap!), try to choose with max normal optical zoom.
Here is good website to review and read bout digital cameras: http://www.dpreview.com/

Also mind that you probably want to buy extra (bigger!) memory flash card and that costs money. So also before buying research how much cards costs for type of camera you're choosing.

I have a nikon coolpix 2100 and I think it's great.. I would suggest getting the 3100 though considering they've come down in price and the extra megapixel is nice.

Any of the Nikon CoolPix series, or Canon Powershot series. I would go to www.shopzilla.com, if I were you. Good luck :)
