actually no, I have the critter trail three and she usually sleeps in the "petting zone"

one of my hamsters, the female also have a wet spot on her back sometimes. i think it's because they're sweating. at least that's what i've learned from this community

Thanks for the link. At first I was worried thats what it was... nbut the wet spot is in the wrong place, and most places say they die within 48 hours, this has been going on for two weeks... So thats a relief. I hope its just sweat.

Sounds like a scent gland! is it in the middle of her back, or kind of on the side?

its in the middle... but covers her whole back sometimes... from her shoulder blades down to her hips... well where her hips would be if she had them. and other times it is pretty much just the size of a nickle or maybe a quarter right under her shoulder blades. I thought only the boys had scent glands? My Abbey is definately a little girl hammie.

Caesar has a wet spot on his back a lot. Tonight it was from him running up under his water bottle though.
