Gizmo's eye

Whenever Gizmo wakes up from sleeping his one eye takes awhile to fully open and it makes me worry about him because I don't really wanna lose another hammie at the moment, specially because he's so young and I just got him about 3 weeks ago. Is it just from sleeping or is there a medical condition here?

I don't think it's something you should worry about. Could be just eye boogers!

*HUG* it's ok! just make sure there isn't any puss or creepy crud, and take a washcloth or cotton ball and put some warm water on in, (just a few drops) and gently massage the eye and then take a dry wash cloth or towle and dry it off. that should help :-) it's just because it's winter and the air is kind of dry.
