Title: Love and War Part 2.

Pairing: Jinry

Part: Part One

A couple of months flies by before Jino realises it and he's doing more than just patrolling the South and North Korean border with his senior Kyuhyun and two others - Jonghyun and Nichkhun- he's helping to move villagers who live at the border or somewhere close to it further away from it in case a surprise attack happens.

Most of the villagers are upset fo course, but they cooperate, understanding the levity of the situation that can instantly become an all out war instead of just faltering decisions to attack or not.

The mornings and afternoons when Jino is giving it his all is when he likes it best because then he wouldn't have to think of Henry and whether he still thinks of him and how Henry is doing now. The last letter Jino's received from the younger is a couple of weeks ago when they are staying in a place with mailing resources instead of villages and rural areas.

At nights, when it gets to unbearable, Jino goes to Jonghyun or kyuhyun for comfort, sleeping close or having sex, it's something that's normal to them because most of them there, they've left a loved one behind, making them crave for intimacy and skin-ship. All of them knows that what they do here stays here because they are at war and they cannot afford to let insecurities burst free and when this is all over, all these, the intimate moments and the need for closeness- it will not be brought up again, becoming a distant memory in their minds.

Tonight, Jino's received letter from henry telling him of how he's been pulled on board the peace talk team and how he's been helping out at a house, managed and opened by a person named Key with a three year old son, Taemin to help those whose lovers have gone to war.

Tonight, Jino scrambles over to Jonghyun's bed as their hands slide over skin, pressing together and wishing to be home doing this with their lovers. As they cum, they call out names that aren't each others but it doesn't matter because this is a war.
--

Henry finds living by himself again a little weird and lonely without having someone leaving clothes all over the place or not washing used dishes after meals. He yearns to do something instead of just sitting home and frequenting the house Key has opened for people who's lovers are in the army and helping out there.

He's overjoyed when he gets a letter from one Park Jungsu, the secretary to Kim Junsu, the man in charge of the peace talks and treaties with the north korean's ambassador, Park Yoochun. He's been asked to join the team as they need someone who's new and fresh with ideas to convince Yoochun to get his country to back off the war.

Henry accepts without hesitation and after his phone call with Junsu, he writes a letter to Jino, telling him off his new job and how the Lost Lambs - that's the name of the support group and house Key's started- are doing so far.

Tears smudge some of his writing as his heart aches for Jino to come back. He sends it off at the post office, using the special line for sending letters to those in the army before heading off to Lost Lambs.
--
Jino is sent back half a year after recruitment to warn the peace talk group that the war will start soon because of all the violence that is taking place at the Borders. Jino is accompanied by kyuhyun and Jay and a few others from different units as they trundle along the bumpy roads in the army truck, their packs strapped to their backs.

When he gets back, he avoids seeing Henry for as long as he can, not wanting to disappoint the fragile man when he has to leave again but his plans are foiled when Jonghyun, drags him up to the Lost Lambs and introduces him to Key and his son taemin.

Henry, who is a sort of counsellor there is descending the stairs when he sees Jino, standing there looking worn but otherwise in perfect help and he dashes down the stairs, throwing himself on Jino, hugging him close and crying a little as Jino's arms closes around him shakily.

"Henry, oh, Henry," he says, choked when he feels the familiar warmth in his arms, the way Henry just fits into his arms just right and the way he smells of spices and vanilla and something distinctly Henry.

They leave of course because Key demands that they spend time together and Jino is told of the talks that henry's been taking part in and how Yoochun seems to be unsure of his decision to put his men on the offensive.

"I can feel it hyung!" Henry trills, eyes shining. "This war will be over soon and you won't have to leave again!"

Jino bites his lip, clenching and unclenching his fist before stopping Henry and looking him in the eye. "Henry, I don't know if I'd want things to go back to normal," Jino says unsurely. "I will be glad when the war ends but.. Being out there and seeing death and sadness everywhere, it's changed me and I don't if I do love you or if you're a warm body I need to let me know I'm not back in the barracks, going through cold nights alone,"

Henry looks so heartbroken that Jino wishes he's never opened his mouth but Henry says quietly, emphatically, "I haven't experienced it before hyung but if you need time to think things through, I'll give you space. I can stay with Key hyung a little while whilst I work with Junsu sajangnim on the talks," Henry leans in and presses a hesitant kiss to Jino's cheek before turning back in the direction they came from.

A couple weeks later, Jino feels the need to seek out Henry, see how he's faring because Jino, he's selfish in not wanting to let Henry go but he isn't sure of his feelings for henry.

He pulls his coat tight around him as he trudges up the stairs to their apartment, letting himself in with his key.

Henry is asleep on the sofa, files and papers strewn all over the floor and the coffee table has several cups of coffee on it.

Jino's heart goes out to the sleeping male on the sofa, long legs dangling over the hand rest, his face gaunt and eye bags quite obvious under his eyes.

Jino carefully avoids the papers as he sits by the sofa, gently stroking the younger man's sift cheeks. Henry's lashes flutter before opening and revealing a pair of brown orbs, filled with confusion.

"Hyung? What are you..." Henry asks but trails off when Jino cups the back of his head and presses their lips together, tongues battling as Jino pulls Henry up, seating him on his lap, their clothes flying off everywhere.

Henry doesn't ask if Jino is doing this because he loves him, he's just glad that this is Jino who is touching him and loving him this way even if it's just for the moment.
--
Two months later, Jino and the team is sent back to the border, the north Korean army showing signs of finally starting off the war. He's left Henry hanging, leaving in the early morning with great reluctance when he sees a peaceful smile on the younger man's face. "I'm sorry Henry," and he leaves without looking back, heart aching at the thought of Henry waking up alone.

He's on border patrol with Jay six and a half months later when Zhou mi comes running up, an overjoyed look on his face as he pulls them into a hug, tears streaming down his face.

"Sergeant Joomyuk!" Jay exclaims in shock. "what's happened!!"

"The war is over! The peace treaty has been signed and the north Koreans have backed off!" Zhou Mi all but shouts in joy, whooping loudly.

"You'll be sent home tonight so go pack up quickly," Zhou mi informs them before rushing off. Jino is excited as he hugs Jay before they take off for the barracks to gather their things.

He's going back to Henry and this time, with an answer.
--
Henry thinks that it's hell on earth when Jino tells him he's not sure of his feelings for henry anymore but he accepts it quietly, backing off to give him space to think, not expecting him to leave without an answer.

He overhears Key telling Onew sadly once in the kitchen that "Poor Henry, that bastard left without giving him an answer and now Henry's become one of my lost lambs,"

He ignores it though, immersing himself in the talks and trying to think of ways to convince the north Koreans to throw the war despite the fact Jungsu is forever pushing maternal leave on him - he's pregnant with child and he's very sure it's Jino's because he hasn't slept with anyone else- but he refuses, working hard but making sure to get enough sleep and eat proper foods under the watchful eyes of Key.

Eight and a half months into his pregnancy, the North Koreans finally throw the war, agreeing to the terms of the treaty and Henry labour right after Yoochun leaves.
--
Jino steps down from the plane, a bright grin on his face as he breathes in the air of Seoul. He's barely settled down in his apartment [Henry's too of course] when a phone call comes, telling him to go to the hospital at once because henry's listed him as his spouse.

He rushes over, panic settling in as he worries his lower lip on the way there. He bursts through the entrance, demanding to see a Henry Lau and he is led there by a kindly nurse who smiles at him.

He sees an unfamiliar man with blonde hair and dimples sitting outside Henry's hospital room, a man with sharp features and a very pronounced butt pacing in front of the room.

"Jino-sshi?" Junsu snaps when Jino nears. Jino nods nervously as the man waves at him to go in.

Henry is sitting on the bed, leaning against the pillows, glowing as he cradles a small pink bundle in his arms, smiling softly. Key is there too, hovering at the edge of the bed, smiling at henry like a proud mother, taemin sitting at the foot of the bed.

"Oh," Key says, eyeing Jino contemptuously. "Look who's back," Henry looks up from the bundle and sees Jino, standing at the doorway looking unsure.

"Key," he says warningly. "Don't be so hard on him. He had to leave one way or another,"

Key sneers and picks taemin up, pressing a kiss to the brown hair. "Yeah but he had to knock you up first didn't he?" And he shoves past Jino uncaringly, nodding to Henry before closing the door.

"Knock you up?" Jino asks, panicked. He licks his dry lips. "As in, pregnant?"

Henry smiles wryly. "I'm pretty sure it means pregnant because I went through one hell of a labour and eight months of looking like a blown up balloon, waddling all over the place,"

Jino shuffles closer awkwardly, staring at the bundle in Henry's arms curiously. "Is that our child?" And Henry smiles, nodding for Jino to come closer.

"Our baby girl," Henry says happily. "Our baby Lee Sunkyu,"

"O-Ours? You don't hate me?" Jino asks shakily, looking close to tears.

"don't be stupid hyung," Henry snorts, rocking Sunkyu when she whimpers. "I could never hate you. Besides, I think our baby needs her father,"

Henry moves slightly, leaving a space on the bed for Jino to sit on and when he does, he places the baby in his arms. "Don't be afraid, just support her head. Yes, like that and hold her close to your heart," Henry coaches gently.

Jino amiles softly at Henry's motherly instincts and he nudges his cheeks with his nose. "Hyung!" Henry giggles before pressing their lips together in a chaste, sweet kiss.

"I love you Henry," Jino breathes, cradling Sunkyu. "I'm sorry you had to wait so long,"

Henry strokes Jino's cheek gently before replying sweetly,"It doesn't matter now because we're going to start fresh right? I was thinking of moving to the countryside,"

Jino laughs tearily. "Anything you want baby, anything you want,"
