Rodin really liked Balzac (and Hugo) as a subject, didn't he? Or maybe he never sold another statue without giving you a Balzac head as a bonus ('cause I think they're all over the place).

That Old Bearded Man is looking very sad (possibly somebody just told him that that boy is his grandson). Also, that rock and Prometheus' hair distinctly appear to have been painted with red wine and paprika respectively. (And I love Füssli's nightmare! Look, he did another!) (And just for the hell of it, look at this lady.)

...Pffft I can't imagine he'd sell MORE statues that way; the melty scowly faces are TERRIFYING. (Perhaps, but I am not used to having them near me. It's one thing to know they're around and another entirely to know that I could conceivably go and, while the guard people are distracted by an incredibly clever DIVERSION, put a comical hat on it.)

Isn't he just? (Ohhh, that might explain it. Or, possibly someone told him about that boy full stop.) (...The second one doesn't have NEARLY as comical faces, though!!! [MY PRIORITIES ARE IN ORDER. Also, fuck, I just used your brackets-in-brackets.] That lady's got a PRREEETTTTY hilarious face, though...)

(POST SCRIPT: How tragic is it that these boots are so very, very out of our price range? Obviously were made specifically for us so I fail to see why they would then go and make them UNOBTAINABLE. I am pretty sure that counts as Cruel and Unusual.)

Well, melty scowly things were sort of his thing in general, so I suppose the Balzacs wouldn't act as too extreme detractors for people interested in purchasing a Rodin in the first place. That is another thing!

(But the white horse is just as crazy as the black horse! Doesn't that say something horrible about ... something?) (HAHA, brackets-in-brackets.)

(Oh yes! The colours! The pattern [the paisley of rebellion!]! The fact that they are boots!) (WTF kind of price is that for boots? For new boots? You can get two-hundred-year-old boots for that price. Or nearly.)

Hm, I suppose if you were INTO melty scowly things then TWO melty scowly things for the price of one WOULD be a pretty good deal. A melty scowly deal. I have such a strong urge to do that, you have no idea. Despite the fact that they'd kick me out forever.

(NO WAY! LOOK AT THE FIRST HORSE'S EYEBALLS. It has SUCH outrageous eyeballs. The second horse's eyeballs aren't as funny. They just aren't.) (/SHAKES FIST ETC)

(I KNOW RIGHT? Buying things for that sum of money isn't rebellious at ALL!) (Putting this hat on that Balzac statue and subsequently getting kicked out of the DIA and/or fined a large amount is rebellious.)

(...perhaps)
