I've decided to do a series of posts on my HOME TOWN! Partially to inform people who I am friends with who have never been here about what it's like, and partially so I can look back on them when I am in London next year and be all "AWW ANN ARBOR, BLESS!".

I used to make an annual trip to Ann Arbor with my skating team, so I have a certain fondness for the area and would be entertained by learning more about it. Mind, my familiarity is limited to the Ice Cube, a certain hotel, a few Applebees-like restaurants, and the U of M rink, but. It'd be fun to see that there's more to the city than the interior of the A^2 Ice^3.

Haha, if only. Synchro trips were always a very structured affair (which I suppose was reasonable given that A) there were some pretty young kids traveling without parents on them, and B) competitions are Serious Matters), so running away to see a friend's view of the city would have been very much out of the question. Which simply means that we don't need to feel any regret that said trips are now a thing of the past, because little or nothing could have come out of them anyway.

Regardless, yay Ann Arbor!

HAMMIE YOU INCREDIBLE WOMAN I GOT ALL YOUR CARDS TODAY. I was prepared for two cards but not for a card and a card and a card inside a card. Also young Abe is looking rather more mischievous than I imagined him. Definitely porn. And cats are highly satisfying postcard ornaments! I especially like the striped squinty one! And I do like cats in general (I have one)! And waterfowl! And cards! And you! So this was a very good mailbox find!

And I enjoyed the gum wall post very much (I'm amazed some of it apparently stayeyd in bright colour so long, unbless the bright and colourful ones are all recent)! So do make more of this sort!

HAHA YES! They were like matryoshka BUT IN CARD FORM and ... also not really at all like matryoshka except in the sense of more being inside. Um. ...sdfgjlsdgdsf OMG YOU ARE SO RIGHT IT IS TOTALLY PORN. I like that painting so much more now! AND AND... I am so glad you liked the cards and cats and birds etc etc etc /drops fondness on you like an aeroplane dropping bombs of FONDNESS.

(I'm not sure how recent any of it is in those particular photos, as I did not take them, but I am pretty sure the last time I was there there were indeed a variety of colors!) Glad to know you enjoyed it though and I will indeed be makin' some more. Probably, if I remember, although I may get distracted and not make another one for several months, but um. THEY WILL HAPPEN EVENTUALLY
