There have been people who got allergy relief as a result of a parasite infection. It seems the histamines that attack my sinuses would get used up attacking pinworms if I had them.

or... you know... the horrible, awful, no-good, very bad pinworms I got from eating cafeteria food when I was in elementary school.

because, if there turns out to be an upside to that adolescent nightmare, I'd love to know about it.

Seriously, trying to drift somewhere in the middle of the negligent/neurotic continuum continues to seem like the right answer. As with all diet studies and the like, it comes back again and again to balance in all things.
