Sunday walks and crazy talks

One of the dangers of taking long walks in Pittsburgh is that the weather can change on a dime. Sunny and beautiful when I left the house this morning to return a book to the Carnegie. Then the wind picked up and it was a little chilly. Moments later it was hot. Then it started getting cloudy. Toward the end of the walk three-ish hours later and

What a trade-off: an amazing walk for a creepy exchange at the local Gap.

There's a guy who works down the local video store who does the same kind of thing every time I'm there. And he never gets the hint.

P.S. The beard is very very nice. I mean that in the least creepy way possible.

Oh, and somebody has a fa-an... well, technically, somebody has a guy too nervous to actually ask him out. Which could be seen as the same thing.

Also, I had a moderate obsession with the Bon Iver album a few weeks ago. SO good.

Also...want to come out to Chicago for the October 9th Broken Social Scene show I have tickets for? I need a date...and oddly enough my usual indie music suspects aren't coming through for me. Gah!

And then I remember how dumb the exchange was and think, "Hot or not, asking someone you don't know if they dye their beard is totally weird."
