Help please?

This is ridiculous. I know how to get files out of compressed folders (what they call zip folders for Windows XP) but I don't know how to make a compressed folder. Does anyone know how? A quick explaination would really help me.

I know laurak23 knows since she uploaded a mix folder once; I always meant to ask how she did it cuz it was pretty slick.
