I checked out a library book, & got a slight handle on the basics. After that, the actual Photoshop "Help" section made a lot more sense. I really love/hate Photoshop. It's got to be the least intuitive-to-figure-out program ever made.

Anyway, the book was "Create! The no nonsense guide to Photoshop Elements" by Greg Simsic. :)

Ah, so a trip to the library may be in order. Either that or read the help section several times. ^_^

Thank you hun!

Yer welcome! :) I also checked out a dictionary-sized Photoshop guide, but the one above was smaller & easier to understand. (All I really wanted to do was simple picture stuff & icons, not set the world on fire w/ P-shop skillz!) ^^

For one thing I want to know what the layers are, and how to use them, but that's just out of curiosity. Otherwise I just want to make attractive icons, nothing fancy but something better than the ones I try to make on my own.

Re: sorry this took so long to reply. halocentury March 26 2007, 22:39:29 UTC
Sounds complicated, but I'm sure like anything else a little practise and you'll get the hang of it.

Thanks. ^_^
