I promised photos of the cakes I made for the baptism. And I finally got time to fix, upload and post them. So, without further ado...here they are. :)
Finally a life sign from me :P Actually I should work, but I am so tiered and unmotivated and just wait for this work day to be over, so I figured why waste the time use it to finally catch up on the important stuff *gg*
Thanks a lot for the pictures! They look delicious *yam* Did you make the bears yourself?
And yay! It's great to hear from you again. I've missed you. Not that I don't want you to have a life outside of the computer, but you know what I mean. :p
I promise I won't tell anyone. ;) I hope your day didn't drag out too long. I feel like I'm coming down with a fever instead so, I know what you mean about being tired. But, maybe it will just go away if I don't think about it.
And you're welcome. I'm sorry I couldn't send you a sample of the cakes, but I don't think they'd have liked the travel... And yes, I made the bears too. I borrowed a mold from mom, that she got from grandpa when he closed his bakery. It's great to have good resources. :)
I have missed you too - so it felt good to be around you this weekend :D And yes, I know.
*lol* - I thinks so too - one day I will visit you and maybe you have a cake ready to be tasted then ;) A bear mold - how cool is that. I bet he had a lot of awesome stuff. I have this book about cake decoration and they use all this fancy stuff in here like a paint-box with food coloring to make little marzipan figures pretty. I want one of those :D *sigh* Now I wanna bake a cake!
Yeah, this weekend was fun. And we actually managed to get some things done too. :)
Of course I will have a cake ready when you come here. :D
Yeah, there are train wagons on the same mold as well. And there is one for Easter and one for Christmas I think. And some others. And I'm sure grandpa has a couple more that he saved for himself. :)
lol, I color the marzipan before I make the figures. Well, not all of them, 'cause some should be painted. But I do have some food colors lying around. Not a color box, but I could probably make one if I wanted to. There's at the moment green, yellow, blue, 2xred and black. And of course you can easily make pink, orange and purple with those. And brown with cocoa powder. :)
Sunday is father's day. You could make a cake for then. :) (Unless you have that day some other time of the year?)

Glad you like the cakes, even if it's only the outside of them. :p
