Work and Food Theft

The last job I had where food theft was an issue had pretty well entrenched racism. All I had to do was bring in Indian or Chinese food and the people who were inclined to steal food left mine alone. It's also the place where about 30% of former employees sued the company for one reason or another.

I still remember the day the owner bragged about firing the only black employee.

"He's gone! We don't need to close for MLK!" He turned to some of the sales guys and said "Don't call any prospects with black names. They get pissy if you stay open."

im surrpised the company didn't go bankrupt with all the suing going on. could have also said, "well its actually acid. want some" :)

Back in college, someone in my dorm responded to persistent food theft by making a batch of ex-lax brownies. The thief, who was generous with other people's stuff, took the bait and shared his haul. An apparent mini-epidemic followed.
