The weekend was a blur \o?

You'd think I would remember more of it. I was there! But no.

There was no Idol story to write, though I did spend quite a bit of time at Tribal Council. I survived elimination there and have made it to the Final 3, so thank you for all of your support along the way! *hugs* We'll probably begin the series of final questions today or tomorrow that ( Read more... )

I've been feeling sleepy and out of it all week and had no idea why, until it hit me a few hours ago that the time change just happened and every year it takes my body a stupid long time to get with it. So I'm good, I'm not about to die o/

Hahahaha!

We spent the first couple of days last week complaining about WHY it was still so cold around 11-12 when we typically start thinking about when to go biking and what the weather would be like. It wasn't until about Tuesday that I realized 12 pm was 11 am just a few days before, and that while the days WERE a little colder than the previous week... we had unfair expectations. ;)

Still feeling kind of groggy in the morning. It usually takes me a good two weeks to recover. :O

Does Canada now switch back and forth at the same time as the U.S.? We started delaying a little in the Fall, so kids could enjoy Halloween before it got really dark, and we bumped the spring shift forward WAY up because... why not? But I know that the U.K. and probably most other places that do the switch are closer to spending half of the year on each instead of 4+ months of standard time and 8- months of DST.

I think so.

Funny story: some years ago, I flew to France for March break (6 hr time difference). While there, France sprung forward, but not Canada. When I flew back, there was a 7 hr time difference. Then a week later Canada sprung forward too. I've never been able to figure out if it came out even or if I gained or lost an hour of my life in all that.

I think you probably lost at least an hour to that question and the discombobulation of all that!

I usually lose the entire week of Spring Forward Sunday to staying up too late every night due to losing track of the time (how did it get so late so quickly???) and then spending the following day in a sleep-deprived state. My least favorite day every.single.year ( ... )

Your description of your usual "Spring Forward" Sunday is how mine usually goes. The best intentions rarely result in me getting to bed at anything like a decent time the night before. Chronic night-owl twins unit!

For the Survivor Idol finale, I _thought_ we were just going to be doing the finale with interview questions from the Tribal Jury.

That illusion lasted 2 days. Now, we're doing a final immunity challenge that is an exercise in stamina: write an entry every day and post it by the deadline, and this will continue until 2 of the 3 contestants drop out. These are Open Topic entries, and they don't have to be long but they do need to be "complete" just like regular entries. The deadline is 2pm my time every day, which is not great! But the Open Topic is actually kind of freeing here, unless my brain locks up. :O

I have the feeling that the poem from the second day's entry will really speak to you, and I'm thrilled that you're still taking the time to read. I know how incredibly busy you are these days! ♥
