Tiredness, I AM it. Gah.
Monday night, I was up late working on my Idol Survivor entry. There was a 51-hour turnaround this week, and I think I had the start of an idea on Sunday night? (Sunday is a little fuzzy at the moment) I definitely got sleepy early on Sunday, so I went to bed but then it took me 2 hours to fall asleep. \o

Kudos to you for having the energy and willingness to deal with photos and organizing them! I keep thinking I should do something with all my travel photos and make a photo album of some sort and all those fun things but just thinking of organizing and taking the time to do it feels monumental even though I KNOW I would thank myself for it in the future.
Fingers crossed you can get it all finished and squared away sooner rather than later and that you get to catch up on sleep soon!

I want to get the mess of the already-printed stuff sorted out, so I can get back to an organized state. And then I want to embark on adding the stuff from online. Which again is about 18 years (I am SO horrified to realize that), but at least it's all stored online and I can pick what I want to print for saving or sharing. Plus the advantage of not having to deal with the negatives and which tiny image was the one I really liked? :O
I hope you get a chance to do the same! We have about 8 huge photo albums of the stuff that's already saved, so even a couple of albums would get you started. I like the 3-ring binder kind, where you can add more pages into them as you need to--and even pages that hold different sizes of pictures.
I like the look of people's scrapbooks, but they take way too much effort for me, and I will always choose more images over the perfect "memento page" with just one or two images anyway. :O

But the digital camera really set me back. My goal is to straighten out all of this loose stuff that needs to be sorted and then put in albums and/or otherwise reliably collected for future enjoyment. Then the digital stuff! Where I can at least request only the things I want, and they will wind up being in the size I specified. None of those random 5x7 photos (our album pages are 3x5 or 4x6) or those 7x10 cardboard display thingies. I think my problem there is that I like the random things too much to just ignore them. :(
I feel you on the having no privacy to create gifts situation! WHAT privacy? My husband never leaves the house for more than about 90 minutes, tops. And that was mostly true before the pandemic, too. :O
