Voting ends today...

in just a few hours for this week's Idol Survivor poll! If you could throw a vote my way, I would sure appreciate it. ♥

I got very little of my TODO stuff done yesterday, apart from biking outdoors and calling my mom. I can't do much while I'm on the phone with my mom, but the hour of "doing other stuff-ness" I lost was worth it. The good news is ( Read more... )

I am so sorry to hear about your mom, K. I can totally relate to the isolation. If it weren't for the guy who delivers my groceries once every couple of weeks or so, I wouldn't see anyone. It's zoom or nothing for me and FB when it comes to human contact... Oh, and Survivor 2020. :-)

I'm so glad you have Zoom capabilities! This would all be so different for my mom if she were the least bit tech savvy, because the video component of chats can make such a difference. That would have helped enormously at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

But she cannot even figure out how to work email, so there's no chance of that.

Are you in-line to get vaccinated soon? You should be in one of the priority groups, and that would help so much.

Zoom has made a huge difference, yes.

I can't have the vaccine. I haven't had a flu shot in over twenty years. It's just not recommended for those of us with CFS/FM, too dangerous.

Oh gosh, I'd forgotten about that aspect of your health. Yes-- you're already immunocompromized, so the vaccine is off-limits to you.

Even though you're one of the people who need it most. I'm sorry. :(

Me too. She had a wonderful cousin who lived on the street behind her, but he passed away in May.

Almost all the people in her community who aren't married are isolated. They're all elderly, so they're all at-risk for COVID and can't really get together with family or friends. :(
