You know, I'd love one of those adult tricycles. But I'll just have to save my pennies 'cause they're expensive. :-)
I've seen a few recumbent bikes from time to time, they look awesome. :-)

You know, I see actual adult tricycles offered that are much less expensive than his new bike (which, ouch! Way more than we've ever spent on a bike).
I mean, I'm not sure exactly what 'Wish' is-- it's a shopping website that you have to log into for more browsing, but I see adult trikes starting at about $183 there (with fenders and big rear basket!), and several things in the $200-$300 range at Amazon and Overstock.
You might have to do some self-assembly, and some have shipping charges and some don't, but those prices aren't bad!

I worry (as does HSH) about recumbent bikes because they are much harder for drivers to notice, and I don't personally like them because that position makes my back hurt.
But I've never heard anyone else complain about back pain, and we got him a huge, colorful flag to mount at the back to help make him more visible.
I knew someone once who was a biking fiend, and someone clipped his back wheel in the Davis Double Century one year and the fall caused him to break his collarbone. Within two weeks, he had borrowed a recumbent from a friend-- because he could ride it mostly one-handed-- and he used THAT for his daily commute to/from work with extra bicycling at lunch just for the exercise. ;)
