I didn't get much done on my week off (especially with having to log back into work to fix problems with my code on a couple of occasions). But it was nice to be mostly schedule-free. I hope the pain goes away soon and you can eat all the crunchy things. And I hope Half Shell Husband continues to recover and get better.

Me too! I'm looking forward to having that "raw" feeling in the roof of my mouth be gone, though I don't know when it'll be healed enough for crunchy foods. I mean, I had a few of those iced animal cookies this weekend, and I kept forgetting about their stabbing potential (if you don't chew them to dust). Ouch!

I have a follow-up visit to the oral surgeon on Thursday, and then I'll have a better idea when regular eating can resume. And when these threads will be out of my mouth. The ones dangling from the roof make it feel like I have tangerine pulp in my mouth or something. :O

HalfshellHusband is at 9 adjusted weeks since that break, and the healing has been VERY slow. There's still a lot of pain, but I don't think it just throbs when he's sitting or lying down the way it used to. He would yell himself awake multiple times a night, up until about a week ago, so it's been bad for quite a while.
