I'm kind of glad he'll be on the far coast over the next few years. - but remember that the kids might come home for the holidays. It's a big thing to reconnect in person even though they communicate over the Internet.

Our daughter just finished her second year of college, so we know that holidays and breaks aren't nearly as much contact as we'd like! And her being on the opposite coast all summer has been sad for us. Great opportunity for her, but we aren't ready to let go quite so quickly!

We used to have _nothing_ like this many wild turkeys around here, OR coyotes. But there is a wildlife area about 1.5 miles away, and the egret, turkey, and Canada goose population has really grown over the last 30 years... as well as the coyotes, which are starting to creep out into our neighborhoods and eat kitties. :(
