Two Haiku, for Writerverse

For the writerverse prompts that match the titles.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Detached
Your forgetful heart
no longer knows my name, or
was I even here?

No Road Too Long
Like Fate, I find you.
No matter how lost you feel,
my love remembers.

Really like these, especially the line break in the first!

Thank you! I like the challenge of haiku, though I don't write them often. :)

I've just finished a workshop and one of the things we did was haikus out of found text - browsing newspaper headlines and magazine articles to pull out words and phrases. It was pretty fun! Nice to read yours :)

What an interesting exercise!

Haiku can be fun, and some of my random favorites are a set involving computer errors created years ago. I still remember isolated lines from these two:

Program aborting:
Close all that you have worked on.
You ask far too much.

Out of memory.
We wish to hold the whole sky,
But we never will.

You can probably guess which is the memorable line in each. It is both poetic and also very true. :)
