i love that in some ways they're polar opposites, and yet they really, really can't stay away from each other. boyd's like a magnet to raylan.

A magnet whether Raylan ever realizes why. And it's obvious Raylan is like that for Boyd.

Much as I love all the other characters, the show wouldn't be what it is without Boyd. He complicates Raylan's past and present in such interesting ways. :)

We just watched 5x02, where some deputy or sheriff or other made reference to Boyd's smile, and it was wonderfully accurate.

I tend to think the way Boyd smiles for Raylan is also sometimes just a little different from how he smiles at everyone else. Which makes us and Raylan wonder, and does things to Raylan even when he's certain otherwise. :D

I just mentioned that scene earlier because it's so spot on. 'Skinny guy, medium height, wears his hair all crazy, has a smile that'll blind you.' Perfectly Boyd. :D
