I usually tend to see this kind of setup as going the other direction, but for some reason jealous-Lincoln really grabbed me.

I love the sting of jealousy, especially in slash and especially where the person feeling it is trapped and cannot make their desires known.

Sometimes, it is doomed to burst out under pressure, even when the person hopes to deny it forever.

But with a drabble like this one, it's more about capturing the moment-- especially because Lincoln is the jealous one here, and I hardly ever write that setup. The prompt made mde do it. :)

Yeah, White Collar's Neal & Peter have brought me back to the fold, so to speak! LOL

Linc would feel trapped. By both his feelings and by his relationship to his brother but I think eventually he'd have to make a choice. Or let Michael make it for him.

Linc seems like the type that could easily be jealous-- he's certainly quick-tempered enough!

And given the chance to see something he wants, even though he shouldn't, something Michael's just giving away right and left... fwoom!

I think it's Linc being short-tempered and Michael being himself - saying something totally innocent but making it sound sooo not innocent :D - what makes them look so good together.

I always really loved jealous!Michael but this was a whole new experience and I find myself loving jealous!Lincoln even more!

I feel much like you do- jealous!Michael has been second nature for so long (you can imagine how often he's been in that position), and yet jealous!Lincoln has such unexpected appeal.

Partly because sexed-up intense angry Lincoln is all the more RAWR!
