I think it's true that when your passion for someone is one-sided, their very presence is what seems to sustain you. And those moments when they seem to want you can be as heady and addictive as a drug.
Thanks for reading! :)

For people in this situation even brushing past one another, hearing them laugh, seeing them smile... It can be enough. Deep down more is wanted, needed, but for now... Enough.

Just...lovely! :)

This setting has such a feeling of innocence, though, despite the slashy overtones. Michael doesn't really know what he's feeling, but he's happy, and he has no idea that this life with Lincoln will so drastically change in the years to come. Ah, the beauty of naive hope!

This feels so tender and warm, and yet there is such an undercurrent of passion in it.
He and Lincoln had been through so much together, but none of it had been as hard as when the two of them were forced apart.
This. Can't live with him, can't live without him ;)

I don't think all of that made it into the story, but I think the dreaminess contrasted with the grounding effect of Lincoln did, and the sense of security that brought to Michael. And, of course, the hint of love crossing into obsession that defines so much of what Michael does.
I hope you liked this one, and found it worthy of your expectations! Still 400 words left, so more to come down the road. :)

Indeed. I can imagine Lincoln's voice slicing through Michael's "daydreaming". And I love how Michael realizes that his feelings are unusal but doesn't really know in what way.
I hope you liked this one, and found it worthy of your expectations!
I liked it a lot, and most definitely found it worthy of my expectations :)

I miss it, too. I miss everything about S1, and why I loved the characters so much. And I'm really grateful that I never watched S4 or the follow-up movie.
I was thinking just the other day about the allusions to S1 that came up in both Burn Notice (last season) and Arrested Development. Good times!

I miss them too, AND S1 especially. The intensity, the devotion, the minor characters, the sense of urgency... *sigh* I used to hang on the hope of Monday every week, waiting for this show. :)
