Loved this! Just what Dean would do.

Thank you! A kid should never grow up without having gone picnicking at least once!

Thank you!

I have such a weakness for this icon, partly because the "Sam" in it looks exactly like my son did at that age. :)

Lovely. Of course Dean knows where to find the wild places ;)

:D I think everything seems a whole lot wilder when it's taller than you are. Not being able to see "the rest of the world" makes it seem so much more remote somehow.

I used to picnic across the back fence on the farm where we lived until I was 6. The babysitter would pack a lunch for me, and I'd stomp out into the meadow and find a good spot to eat my peanutbutter and honey sandwich and drink my Nestle's Quick-flavored milk from a tupperware cup (with a water-tight lid!). :)

Had a field like that next to where I grew up. I don't know what kind of grass it was, but it turned the most awesome golden color in the fall, and it was about 3 feet high. You could lie down and watch the clouds and be totally hidden. Or at least it felt that way!

:D Wee - chesters! :D That one! I love! :D
lol thank you *hugs* That was really sweet and adorable ^.^

"Sam drank soda and ate crackers while watching butterflies and listening to the grass hum."

I just can't help but imagine how awkward and peaceful this would be in the same time. :)

Yay-- I'm so glad you liked it! I don't think it could be fluffier or more innocent, which is a nice change in setting.

I don't think he'd mind it-- it's very much an outdoor haven.

I remember years ago that we were unpacking Christmas decorations, and my son (who was perhaps 2) got on a dining room table chair to eat animal crackers and just watch all the fascinating things come out. :)
