Thank you so much! And you picked out my favorite line of them all, too. There was such reverence in how Dean treated her (so understandable), and if this was to be her one and only time before becoming an angel again, he would feel compelled to be so careful. Such pressure, but also... such an honor as well.

I think Anna choosing him-- of all people, Dean who has been in Hell and done terrible things there, and never thought much of himself apart from being a brother, a hunter, and good-looking-- must have spoken to the depths of the soul he thought was still lost.

It must have felt like forgiveness, an angel choosing him despite all he'd been and done.

I have been sitting here trying to write something that doesn't include the words "love" and "adore" and "squee" in it.

But I can't. I love your writing, how elegant it is and how you can convey so much with the words you choose - and you've conveyed exactly what I thought of Dean's encounter with Anna. That it was about forgiveness and the consolation that comes with it.

I can't even choose a favorite line; it's beautiful and perfect.

So, that's my long-winded way of saying: it pleased me very much. ;)

I'm so glad you liked this! I was hoping that Dean/Anna wasn't a randomly hated pairing for you, and this moment seemed to transcend the sexual part of the pairing simply for what it said that she chose Dean (of all men) and how that must have made him feel after going to Hell and barely surviving his return.

It has to be one of the most unusual and unexpected things anyone's ever asked of him, and after everything that happened in Hell...it really must have felt like some kind of absolution, given who she finally realized she was.
