It'd be so nice to set this more in the "now," but the boys are always on the run. And too much later in Michael's life, we have the problem of Lincoln being in prison all the time (stupid dope).
And I'm with him on the hot-dog! *feels queasy*
I like hotdogs with the ketchup, mustard and relish. But that's it. Anything else starts to get scary, and putting everything on it... urk.
So glad you enjoyed reading! Thank you! :)

This is just so nice! I love the thought of Lincoln trying to think of something great for Michael's birthday, and all those little things going not-quite-right but the important thing - celebrating the milestone together - being perfect.
Thank you so much!

It's such a guy thing, and maybe even more a Lincoln thing, to have that "Everybody loves what I love!" mentality, and then gift someone with a truly horrific offering like that hot dog. Suburban-Dad Lincoln would be the kind of guy who gives his wife a tool kit for her birthday. ;)
but the important thing - celebrating the milestone together - being perfect.
That's the part I've always liked about the brothers-- everything on the surface seems mismatched and wrong, but the parts deep down that actually matter still work. Family is more important than that you have fun every single minute you're a family. Or even a lot of minutes, given the Burrows/Scofield history.
So glad you liked it, and I hope it maked your day just a little bit better-- late though it was!

LOL, yes!
Now, I have a little something for you and you can find it here at my LJ. If I watched more SPN, I would have written *those* brothers for you, but I decided to go with what I know. Oh, and it was inspired by the icon you've used above, the one that always reminds me of you. :)
