yes, i have seen the movie. once. i have some thoughts on it but will save those for after i see it for the second time. what? i like to do that with some movies just to see if my opinion changes or not
( Read more... )
Yeah, that is RPattz on the soundtrack, and he has a second song that plays in the movie, but is not on the soundtrack or score - which is stupid b/c I like that song too ;P He's a huge Van Morrison fan, and I think that is who he tries to emulate when he sings.
I saw it for a second time today with the kids - I caught more of the funny asides that I missed or couldn't hear the first time around. I like that they worked so much humor into it - otherwise, I think I would have OD'ed on the cheesiness. My only problems with the movie were the same problems I had with the book - just plot weaknesses.
thanks for that info about RPattz. that makes sense. of course that only adds to the *squee* which is rather undignified of me. ;)
which song? is it "Let me Sign"? i wondered about that absence after seeing it listed on the songlist i posted.
yeah i think there is a lot that can be missed on the first viewing. for me i was trying to match the book story to the movie story to fill in missing stuff. i think the second viewing will be more for what the movie is and what i think about it.
I know you love Supernatural and I wanted to give you a head's up.
Amazon has seasons 1 and 2 for $17.49 each and season 3 for $14.99. Under $50 for all three. Hopefully if you don't already have them, there is money in the budget. (Free super saver shipping is applicable)
LOVE YOU! thanks. i just ordered S3 from Best Buy b/c they had it for 14.99. but i will def order S1 which for some reason i never got. i know weird to only have S2. LOL
just ordered S1 SPN. yay! i havent really gotten into the Office. i have seen a few eppys here and there but it didn't grab me. thanks for the rec anyway.
btw, have you watched any Merlin, the BBC show? while it is clearly made for kids, i quite enjoy it. Tony Head is in it and the lead characters of Arthur and Merlin are a bit pretty and funny. i guess i like the pretty mixed with fantasy ;)
i put the "dinner with family" before complications just b/c that made sense to me. i realize that you probably can't hear it but given that things were all happy etc when she first came in, until Rosalie got angry = complications. *g* now that this all arranged properly i can listen to it in excess. LOL
Can't help, sorry - I refuse to drink the Kool-aid of Twilight.... *g* My vampire book series of choice is Sookie Stackhouse, which I'm enjoying at the moment. Cheese-free. If anything, it's almost too matter-of-fact! A refreshing change from overwrought vampire stories. And I love True Blood.
Well, if that guy Pattison is hot, it must be on-screen, not in photos. Because every shot I've seen of him, sorry, but he looks fugly.... ;-P.
but it is so bad it is GOOD Kool-aid. *eg* aside from the plot points missing, the overall feel to the story is quite good. i mean if you view it on the individual parts it is not all that great but if you go for the feeling, it is moving.
bwahaha RPattz fugly? if they would stop taking pics of him when he looks either half asleep or wasted then maybe it he would appeal to you more. LOL
the soundtrack/score is lovely. will bring it next month ;)
I know, I know.... but I picked up 'Eclipse' today, read a couple of sentences and actually went 'bleagghh!' out loud in the bookshop! *g* What can I say, bad writing hurts me almost physically. Does that make me a snob?
I can only assume then that RP is always either tired or stoned at any event he attends. I can't say I blame him for that. But I haven't yet seen his undoubted beauty... *g*
Gah, 'scuse me while I restart my effin modem for the third time in ten minutes.... it's dropped my connection again.
ok, now let's see if it will deign to let me post! Again GAK!! Three tries, keeps dropping connection.
Anybody know if Netgear modems/routers are any good? I'm trying to find a replacement for this crappy thing, but I'm blinded by the choice!
the BEST book of the series is the one that was leaked and not officially part of the 4 parter. LOL
FWIW, all the books took several chapters to get moving. it wasn't until about half through them would the plot and writing improve. yes, i deserve a badge for surviving such tedious reading. ;)
Netgear is what we have used in the past. i think if you do a search for buying modems/routers on PC mag dot com, you should get some basic specs to help with the decision.
Saw the movie today and loved it. I have read all but the last part of Breaking Dawn. I feel that book 4 is off pace with the rest of the series. I have not yet peeked Midnight Sun because I am keeping my fingers crossed that the book will be completed and published.
I will pay you handsomely for the final compilation that you put together. I loved the music as well. In fact, I listened to the soundtrack before it was released and became a little woozy whilst listening to R Pattz. He sings a bit like Van Morrison but he's pretty like Jeff Buckley :)
word! at the woozy whilst listening to RPattz. did you see the above first reply to this where they said he models his singing after Van Morrison? also on the pretty. *swoon* i am so going to special hell.
did you see the above from tiggz? if you find some songs missing, lemme know. *g*
all but the last part of Breaking Dawn? that is when it finally got good. LOL i can see why everyone thought it was off pace with the series but it is what it is.
Midnight Sun, even the 12 or 13 chapters we "got" were wonderful and only made me understand Edward MORE and that was a good thing. having read Midnight Sun, it made RPattz's performance that much more enjoyable. i, too, hope that it gets published one day.

If you like the Office (US) they have season 1 for $6.99 and 2 and 3 for $13.99 *grin*
Not weird by the way. I am missing season 5 of Buffy.
