I just found the Sesame Street sketch that made me want to play the trumpet when I was little. The soundbyte has been stuck in my head for over 20 years, and sounds almost exactly like I remember it :)

Aw man, I remember that. It's been years since I've seen that one. Thanks for posting it. It's a great sketch. The only parts of Sesame Street I could ever really stand were these muppet sketches. A blend of education and entertainment as it should be and in a way that's really lacking from a lot of modern children's TV.

I completely forgot the sketch, all that was stuck in my head was the soundbyte.

I did watch lots of other things, some of which I remembered (the clapping sketch was, and still is, great!). I think Dutch tv didn't translate *all* the songs... so Dutch Sesame Street must've had less songs than the original version :(

Sesame Street and the Muppet Show were made of win, big time. So clever and inventive, and some of the songs still stick with me today.
