[RL - Healing the Dead]

Darc didn't normally pace, but the dire anticipation that had taken over him drove him to be too antsy to sit still. It no longer mattered that Kamina was apparently dead: he needed help. Coincidence brought him to that specific continent and region that day, but it felt right somehow to be healing his friend here. The church ruins had been a ( Read more... )

Kamina appeared not long after Darc's previous check of his magical equipment, his blue door materializing much slower than usual. He walked through the unsupported frame with unfocused eyes and uneven steps. He didn't know much about medicine, but he knew enough to know that he was bleeding a lot more than was healthy. It was a bit weird, feeling pain and bleeding when you were supposed to be dead, but it was another subject that he didn't know much about. It was something to consider another time. A time when he was healed up and not bleeding all over the place.

Kamina struggled up the short flight of steps and after swaying in place at top, he raised a hand in greeting. "Yo."

If he hadn't already seen Kamina in his post to the community, Darc would've gasped at the sight of him. Instead, he went immediately to his friend, concerned but also confident that he would be healed soon.

"Hey," the half-Deimos greeted in return. He placed his right arm under Kamina's left in order to provide him with some support (careful of course of the horns on his elbow and shoulder). "Just relax, all right? You'll be fine in no time."

With reassurances said and done, Darc raised his left hand to Kamina's torso. Wisps of magic power were beginning to gather, drifting between his fingers and claws. "I'll have to cast this spell a few times. It will work, but only heals a little bit at a time."

"I ain't worried. I been through worse an' that only stopped me for a couple o' minutes." He didn't mention that the injuries had managed to kill him mere moments after he finished off Thylimph.

He nodded in understanding at Darc's words and quietly watched as the magic began to work, leaning most of his weight on Darc's arm. If only he'd been a little faster or had a Ganmen or anything, he'd wouldn't be in this situation. Maybe he was as weak as Bass had said.

There was nothing else Darc needed to say; his concentration became devoted to the spell he was casting and making it as potent as possible. More magic gathered, and in a low tone, he uttered the incantation: "Soothing breeze, lend me your strength..."

"Cure."

The magic washed over Kamina, drifting with precision over each of his injuries. It would feel reminiscent of a calming, cleansing breeze. While it wasn't powerful enough to completely heal him, his wounds began closing and his bleeding was slowed significantly.

Once the spell was finished, Darc was quick to cast it again. He would heal his friend, even if he had to do it in bits and pieces.
