HEADCANON MEME
YOU CAN'T ESCAPE THE DANGER!
Hahaha I have way more headcanon for my very minor characters. I guess that's only natural. I'LL DO YAMAZAKI NEXT, THOUGH.
AS A NOTE a lot of this involves Jasdero, so! If we ever get a Jasdero and they disagree with me? THAT'S COOL this is just headcanon and we can work with that. |D
☆ Devit's relationship with Jasdero transcends EVERY CATEGORY. They're not siblings, lovers, friends, or even twins. They're two people who used to be one person. Devit doesn't think of Jasdero as any of these things, just as "Jasdero." Their interaction also doesn't fit any of these categories. They're unthinkably close, but anyone who implies that there's something romantic or sexual between them will get an extremely disturbed "buuuuh UGH OH GOD WHAT THAT'S SICK!" reaction.
☆ In fact Devit would kill anyone who did come on to Jasdero romantically or sexually, because Jasdero Does Not Go There and he knows it.
☆ But as I mentioned in the poll earlier, they do sleep in the same bed, and Devit is used to getting a lot of physical contact because of Jasdero. Without Jasdero around, he misses it, and if he's comfortable enough with someone he will start imposing it upon them instead.
☆ Devit really likes having other people do his makeup, or doing makeup/nails for other people, or brushing hair, because this is also all stuff he regularly does with Jasdero. It's very calming to him and is one of the best ways to get him out of a Mood.
☆ He doesn't bother to remember names most of the time and always, always calls people by a description instead. This is how he categorizes them. Sometimes these descriptions move directly from "eh don't care about you this is what I'll call you" to "I like you a lot so now it's a nickname for you" territory without him indicating this in any way.
☆ Devit is jealous of Ticky's popularity (not in camp, but in canon situations) and doesn't really understand it. Ticky's not his type and he honestly doesn't get why everyone finds him so hot.
☆ He also assumes Ticky is straight.
☆ Devit realizes he is gay and will blurt out telling things when he's angry or distracted, but in general he tries very hard to hide it because he thinks of it as "something people will make fun of."
☆ HOWEVER he has absolutely no idea how a straight guy should act and fumbles with this a lot. He does things that he thinks will make him seem straight but they're usually KIND OF OFF.
☆ He is curious about porn and sex like any teenage boy but his actual level of hormones is pretty low/suppressed for various reasons: being a Noah, the closeted thing, and having Jasdero around constantly because would YOU masturbate in front of Jasdero? I DON'T THINK SO. :(
☆ But they are still there, and they're triggered by normal things as well as some strange and twisted things. Occasionally sex will work its way into a killing fantasy, and Devit is never sure how or why that happened, because he doesn't get off on killing the way Ticky does. All the same, sometimes his thoughts suddenly take that turn instead if he likes the person he's thinking of killing.
☆ He and Jasdero designed their clothing. He's never thought much about how revealing his pants really are because he didn't design them to be sexual; he just thought it looked cool. He's confused that people seem to think he's a whore because of them.
☆ He and Jasdero designed their Jasdevi body, too; the original pre-Noah Jasdevi didn't look anything like their current combined form. The two of them worked very hard on something they thought LOOKED REALLY BADASS that they could both agree on.
☆ Jasdero was to blame for the hair.
☆ Devit doesn't know "why" Jasdevi split into Devit and Jasdero, and this agitates him slightly. Presumably it's an inevitable feature of being the Bonds of Noah. The fact that they are split doesn't really upset him at all, but thinking about the circumstances and reason behind it does. It was probably not very pleasant. He can't articulate why or how it happened and gets annoyed when he tries.
☆ Devit remembers the things he does as Jasdevi as if he did them himself, but in a bit of a fuzzy way. When Devit and Jasdero are combined, they don't "talk" to each other inside a single body; they literally merge into one mind, which is more impulsive, sadistic, childlike, and all-around crazy than Devit alone. Coming out of that state is a little bit like waking up after a night of drunken antics, since Jasdero's influence on them opens up emotional floodgates and a whole slew of impulse control issues. He remembers it as something he did but was not entirely in control of. (Which is exactly what it was.)
☆ Socially he is getting more used to not having Jasdero around. Physically, in the visceral, "we are one person" sense, he can never get any more used to it than he is, and he can feel it constantly and has made himself sick crying over it more than once. But in the interpersonal "we are two people" sense he's learning how to function without always having Jasdero around and has occasionally even been grateful for Jasdero's social absence. These two senses are absolutely separate things.
☆ Yes, Rhode has dressed them in drag. More than once. He hates it. :(
☆ His sense of fashion makes him look sort of . . . "dirty," but actually Devit is ridiculously meticulous about his hygiene and general upkeep. He takes very good care of his hair, nails, and skin, something he prides himself on. He probably cuts his hair himself. HE SPENDS A LONG TIME IN THE BATHROOM IN THE MORNINGS.
