[The box was talking just like Hiccup talked. He didn't necessarily understand every word, but the voice wasn't threatening, at least. After a wary pause, Toothless remembers himself and attempts to return that weird mouth gesture that humans made.]

He knew Hiccup could sometimes curl up into a tiny ball when he thought something was about to eat him, but even he couldn't pull THIS off.]
