New fic:

I was already working on this before, but it was halfamoon that prompted me to finish it. It's a Friday Night Lights story, about Tyra Collette during and just after her first semester at college. It's called "Chains and Fetters," and the details and the link are over in my journal.

Old fic1. Another FNL story about Tami and Julie Taylor, set ( Read more... )

I really enjoyed "Flight Path." I loved the character of CJ, and your story reminded me why. I also loved your introduction to Audrey Flankman. I certainly never got a chance to watch "Snakes and Ladders," as I live in California. I thought Fox was the network that canceled great shows before they had a chance to find an audience. The details about the decline of her mother, and the character's internal conflict over whether to stay close to home with her, or take up this opportunity that had been offered, to make a difference in a larger sphere, seemed very real.

I didn't read those two FNL stories to avoid possible spoilers. I have an unopened box of the first season of "Friday Night Lights." Maybe I need to get going on that sooner rather than later.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

I especially want to thank you for reading "All the Running You Can Do," a story that never got any love written about a show that got even less love. It's really terribly sad to me that the world will never see any more Audrey Flankman. Sigh.

Oh, and you really should watch your FNL DVDs, by the way--it's really a phenomenal show. And believe it or not, despite it being labelled a "football show," a lot of what makes it great are the female characters.

Thanks again!

Just leaving work so no time for proper commentary now, but I am SO glad you posted the Tyra story! I love it, and hopefully I'll catch up with comments... sometime soon.

Aw, thank you! So fun to get feedback on a years-old story. It wasn't my usual style back then, but I do think it holds up okay, considering how freaking old it is.

I really should have written more CJ--what a great character. *g*
