I could never, ever, ever understand anyone's reason to hate Kory. She's one of the strongest characters in the DC Universe, and I don't mean just physically, though she totally kicks ass in that department too.
She's from a planet that's ruled by emotions. That doesn't mean they always get the best of her (doesn't mean they don't, either); it means she values feelings. A lot. And what's wrong with that? Nothing, that's what.
There should be more to this rant, but it's late, and I'm losing coherency. *contemplating a Donna Troy thread at some later date, but isn't sure how much hate there is for her*

Wait there is HATE for Kory 0.o How what ... I mean dislike for the outfit she was given, ok sure, some versions maybe.. but hating Kory. I am so sad to learn this.
I loved Kory when I was a young girl. She's pretty much a major reason I was reading Teen Titans (which was also the only DC title I was reading). I mean she was strong, positive, fearless, and yet I could relate to her because it wasn't over the top. Yeah she lost her temper, but so what? She got to say and do all these things that as a little girl had always been coded as "male only" and I was great to see a female character showing that no, no these awesome characteristics were not "male only."
I still love her. She's one of my hands down favorite DC ladies.
.. granted I've no idea what was done to her character during the 90's but there was so much fail in comics around them I sorta ignore any reason to dislike a character from that era =P

Yeah. :/ I think it's more of 'Dick/Kory is horrible' type thing, which is ridiculous! I think it's like Dick/Babs > Dick/Kory, and I just can't stand it if that's what anyone thinks! They're sorta done some stupid retcon that makes it like Dick never loved Kory, and I'm just, what bs is this? *sigh*
I still love her no matter what I read. I liked the 90s. She dealt with things like she should, dammit. <3

My reaction to her is more based on George Perez's original design. It was sexy without being exploitative. You can imagine her costume actually staying on while she was busy being a warrior. It covered her ass and actually cupped her boobs (no sideboob there). It had a backstrap-a wide one! Okay, so maybe you had to assume it was made of some alien material that was stonger than Earth cloth (it had a metallic sheen to it) and maybe becuase of her physiology (stronger and tougher than an Earth woman) she could actually stand up straight with those boobs. But she was drawn more or less to proportion--no wasp waist at least.
IDEK what the hell has happened since George stopped drawing her.
