Ow. This one hurt, but it hurt so good. Especially with how you create this entire scene that's utterly adorable and sweet with the grocery shopping (mmm, grub juice) and then BAM, heart absolutely shattered into tiny bits with the ending. But even if this is AU, I think you've truly captured both Karkat and John with this-- I love how Karkat is still an angry guy who questions the sincerity and trustworthiness of everyone around him, including John; you really know how to take a concept and bend it to your will, bro. Same with John. I love how he's just an ordinary kid (or trying to be) who had this whole thing kind of thrust upon him, and how big his heart is and how he wants to help and show his love. It just seems like such a John thing to me, which is good, because a lot of AUs I'll read will completely make characters unrecognizable, but you avoid that beautifully.

And. Jegus this is good. That's all I have to say, man.

But seriously, you are very adept at world building, one can really picture the trolls living amongst us. It makes me wonder under what circumstances that came to be.
The part in the supermarket was awesome, and so revealing as well. Oh God--the bit with Grub Juice and candy made my stomach feel awful--which means you are doing a great job!

I'm hoping for a happy ending for KK and John--they deserve it. My poor little heart made flips at how awkwardly John wants to show KK he genuinely cares and then KK just not knowing hot to deal with that! But really, I'll be okay with anything you write for an ending!!

hehehe, I absolutely love Sollux's intrusion on Karkat's love life. He's like the best douchefriend that Mr. Crabbypants could ever hope for. He really brings out Karkat's relaxed form, rather than the "struggling to be somewhat pleasant to this derpy kid" mode that we've seen of Karkat so far. I wonder how it'll be once Karkat gets more comfortable with John and shows off more of his crabbiness. John will probably like it. He's such a strange child...

Lets be honest. You do amazing work, and you do it quite consistently. The subject matter here is not exactly my cup (or pail), but I jumped into this without blinking because I knew I'd enjoy it anyway. Of course, I was right. Lots of a good characterization, with just enough sap that would also go good with pancakes. Looking forward to more of... anything, really. I guess I don't really care what you write as long as you keep writing.

I'm really quite flattered by all this love~ I don't plan on quitting writing anytime soon, but it might be all hooker-Karkat all the time for awhile because certain people have shown an absolutely astounding amount of interest in it and I have been bribed with the promise of resultant fanfic and FSTs.
