I feel like I should write something, if for no other reason than to acknowledge that I read this and appreciate you sharing intensely personal stuff, but I don't know what to say beyond that I wanna simultaneously give you a huge hug and rip that guy's spine out.

Not, ya know, do both at the same time though, cuz that'd be physically awkward. But I'm totally down for doing one then the other. You said it first: "i'm a lover not a fighter.... but if you fuck with who i love you're gonna get beat.".
