There are things you can do with wireless Internet that you can't do with dial-up. Like read the entirety of off_my_pen.
Or sit in the Blue Moon for seven hours nursing one drink writing lj entries. This has been my vice lately. That and researching the up and coming technology for aquatics education (that was actually N's task but, well, hey, the computer still feels like a new toy and every time ze sat down to work on that the screen was mysteriously overtaken by endless games of Super Pile Up.
Yesterday, I fully meant to go to the reading of Hortense MacLeod's The Angry Guttersnipe at Patrick'sI got things mixed up and told them you were out of town at a paganish conference/workshop thing. oops. you can correct my mistake if you wish. It was pretty fun, actually. You would have enjoyed the sendups of the radicals and the new age radicals. and Ann K made and excellent jester. There was a very attractive set and costumes (the queen--played by a person named richard--looked lovely in what used to be my velvet dress) and
