If there aren't gay hobbits, I'm not coming. I mean - what's the point?

Oh, good gods. There are about 20 different directions I could take that statement - and none of them good. So I guess I'll settle for saying - I agree wholeheartedly.

Speaking of hobbits, did anyone else notice that Sam's wife was from down here in the South? Barefoot and pregnant.....

Sorry, but that was just so easy!

Ooh, ooh, I will try to go to SASE! puffpastry December 29 2003, 19:11:21 UTC
I'll see if I can get Mr. trueenough to go with me!

I WAS, originally, hoping to see some hot, sweaty, same-sex Hobbity love in LOTR:ROTK -- I figured at LEAST Frodo and Sam would be Baggin' their Bilbos (see http://www.livejournal.com/users/tin_lizzy/1430.html for further discussion on this). But actually, I am MORE touched by the fact that the hobbits AREN'T gay but are just unabashedly, totally, highly sentimentally bonded to each other by platonic friendship - that is incredibly moving to me, as I wrote in my own blog. I wish real life was like that. I wish humans of both sexes were that willing to show their love and admiration for each other. OR I wish I was a hobbit, but...that option doesn't seem terribly likely either. (But I WOULD make a great hobbit...hobbitette...hobbette?...don't you think??)

Hobbitina? Hobbitta?

I guess I hadn't really looked at RotK that way. It is a nice goal for humans to aspire to, isn't it? Alas, given the current state of our world, I think you'll be a hobbit first. Which will be totally cool.

Do you know Brandon Lacy Campos? Or did you just end up reading the same night?

I don't actually know Brandon, which is funny, because everyone else I know seems to.

The Pagan Taxi Service is always at your disposal.

Also, your 'matter of great importance' sounds wonderfully secret-squirrel-missiony. I look forward to all the juicy details.

I was an idiot and kept forgetting to call you this weekend. Now that I've got a spare moment, i'll just let you in on my agenda.

Marjorie and I have been talkin' and we've decided that you should come with us in February. I assume you know of what I speak.

We've spoken to Jody (sp?) and she has told us that there are still spots available. I would be more than happy to help you get there. . .

I will call you tomorrow if i am not a dork and I remember to do so.

think about it.
