I WAS, originally, hoping to see some hot, sweaty, same-sex Hobbity love in LOTR:ROTK -- I figured at LEAST Frodo and Sam would be Baggin' their Bilbos (see http://www.livejournal.com/users/tin_lizzy/1430.html for further discussion on this). But actually, I am MORE touched by the fact that the hobbits AREN'T gay but are just unabashedly, totally, highly sentimentally bonded to each other by platonic friendship - that is incredibly moving to me, as I wrote in my own blog. I wish real life was like that. I wish humans of both sexes were that willing to show their love and admiration for each other. OR I wish I was a hobbit, but...that option doesn't seem terribly likely either. (But I WOULD make a great hobbit...hobbitette...hobbette?...don't you think??)

I guess I hadn't really looked at RotK that way. It is a nice goal for humans to aspire to, isn't it? Alas, given the current state of our world, I think you'll be a hobbit first. Which will be totally cool.

Marjorie and I are both interested in attending. A ride would be great, but i am sure we can find our way if it is necessary.
I also must speak to you of a matter of great importance. I will call you tomorrow with details=)

Also, your 'matter of great importance' sounds wonderfully secret-squirrel-missiony. I look forward to all the juicy details.

Marjorie and I have been talkin' and we've decided that you should come with us in February. I assume you know of what I speak.
We've spoken to Jody (sp?) and she has told us that there are still spots available. I would be more than happy to help you get there. . .
I will call you tomorrow if i am not a dork and I remember to do so.
think about it.
