Man, I know. Two years without an update. But lately I've felt the need to say some things in a longer format than Facebook or twitter or G+ affords me. With my website still experiencing technical difficulties, I've decided to put some of these thoughts here.

There's at least two news stories that seem to reoccur every few years: "Wham! Pow! Comics aren't for kids anymore!" and "Can women be funny?!" Feh.

I feel like that review/blurb only highlights the ignorance of the reviewer.

And also seems, in general, like a weird choice of cover blurb. It wasn't even from anyone super-famous who they absolutely HAD TO HAVE!!! in the blurbs. Lieber and Parker are well-respected comics creators; they probably could've done better for their cover publicity than such a backhanded compliment.
