Next time I'm going to a midnight showing during Christmas season--I'm taking the day off. XD

Well! I got to see The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe at midnight with the loverly folks from my old church. I almost DIDN'T, though....we didn't get off work until 11:55pm! they said something in the paper about how it's not "Just a preachy movie about Jesus". Is this true or not? If it IS just a Bible story with talking animals, I'm sying away from it.

It's true, it's not that preachy. It's told in a fairy-tale like story. It's made to INTRODUCE the idea that there could be a kingly-figure willing to give up his life for someone who maybe doesn't deserve it, but it's not meant in a preachy way.

I hope it is/was worth trusting me on it. Let me be frank--it's no where as good as LOTR.

But, Patrick liked it, and he got bored with the first 10 pages of the book and didn't continue with the book, so I think that means it's an entertaining movie, regardless.
