Last.fm was my only resort for good new music while in China, as nearly every other major music website is blocked in the PRC - unless, of course, you are searching for Chinese pop.

I never actually had a username, I just perused anonymously. Ha.

Wanted to recommend to you: The Low Anthem. Chris got me listening to them a few months ago and I really enjoy their What the Crow Brings album. We went to one of their shows last Friday, here in CT, and it was incredible.
