[ Filtered away from the Wrights ]This is unbelievable. I attended this ridiculous ball for the sake of regaining memories and one of my possessions, and what the island decides to reward me with is my driver's license and the knowledge of how to drive. Is this some sort of joke? It's a small comfort to be able to legally and knowledgeably drive ( Read more... )

tanabata, nanoha (divine_striker), being adopted is awkward, slow af is slow, louise (eccentricsniper), vash (love_and_donuts), momo (etherbow), squalo (novolumecontrol), this nasty bright red sports car, *memories, does not approve of these shenanigans

Your optimism is unnecessary.

I didn't know you could forget how to drive! Isn't it like riding a fucking bike?

A car is a considerably more complicated mechanism than a bicycle.

Cars aren't that difficult. Hop in one and you can figure it out real quick. It's all the stupid road laws that are annoying.

The laws are as much a part of driving as the mechanics are.

Wouldn't a Driver's license be a really useful item? It'd have your full name, your birthdate, the time period you're from, maybe even tell you what country and city you were living in, right? You're really lucky!

It's nothing I haven't already remembered.

Social events are not my forte, Miss Louise. There are many things I would've preferred to have done at the time I spent at the ball.

Such as?

I admire your passion for your work, but you must be sure to take breaks as well.

A ball isn't a very restful thing.

Ha ha ha ha....

...I can't drive to save my life.

*he's not kidding!*

(Why am I not surprised in the least by this?)

I suppose we're all very fortunate that a situation where your life depends on your driving skill isn't very likely to come up here.

After living here for a year, I know that anything, no matter how unlikely, can happen.

BUT STILL, yes. You're right.
