Ooh, Sandman = ♥ Though I still need to get this one extra story illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano...

And I hope that your asthma is fine again!

YES! Morpheus and Death are my favourite characters. I love how despite being the Prince of Stories, he's a flawed character and to a degree rather self-absorbed.

The story where he first met Nada was so romantic ♥ and the resolution to it was sweet...

You know, just today I saw a pub called 'The World's End' XD

It seems to be getting better, now that I've got the inhaler and some Lemsip handy.

Oh yes, I really admire it how Gaiman can write all this big, great characters, who are still somehow realistic, with flaws and problems.

Heh, I'm usually not a person to go into pubs, but I perhaps would have had to go in just to ask whether they were named after Sandman or not!

'The Sound of Her Wings' is a prime example of this - Death, Dream's elder sister, berates him for being so self-pitying X3

Lol, it's in Camden Town (just so you know where to find it) :D

Let me know what Avenue Q is like, been wanting to go for ages but the smutty musical bit puts me off (I hate musicals, even funny ones - would rather have a total evil Sesame Street Ripoff.)

It's odd when people talk about London as a tourist resort...the commute there and back makes me hate it ;)

I think that it's because the place is associated with so many shops and historically "British" sights that it's elevated so much. Well, this isn't to say that I'm not fascinated with London too; being that it seems bigger and more varied than Birmingham (or maybe that's the "Grass greener on the other side" mentality talking...)

I usually hate musicals too, until I saw Sweeney Todd. Then I found out more about Sondheim's works, and I was like "SOLD!" I've also seen clips of the original Broadway staging of Todd, and I swear I was clapping XD /ramble.

I've heard some of the songs for Avenue Q, and it seems awesome. Not cheesey or sappy like a number of musicals seem to be...I'm totally looking forward to Thursday, when I get to see it! :D

I also cried when The Wake came out.

I collected the comics in individual form while they were coming out in the 1990s and then gradually sold off the collection to replace them with the trade paperbacks.

I really enjoy Gaiman's mythology.

Yeah; he may have been a 'pill and a prick', but he was a great character. If there is any amazing way to finish off a series, The Wake is an example of how it's done (provided you don't go overboard and venture into emo wangstings)...

Really? That's neat! So you collected the very first issue, when it came out I'm assuming?

Me, too! Gaiman's one of my literary heroes. Have you read American Gods or Anansi Boys?
