North and South Dakota are pretty nice, scenery wise. Well, nice if you come from Wisconsin or Manitoba. I'm sure its less impressive than Arizona. ND has long been the least visited state in the union, although it is the ancestral home of Lawrence Welk. It's got that going for it.

I worked with a woman from Nebraska that said "We had an expression in Nebraska, 'if it's not fried, it's no gooooood!'" So take that at face value. My Lisa Simpson Student in one of my english classes spent a month in Nebraska and she seems to have liked it.

I loved the scenery in Idaho... the little part that sticks up like a middle finger between WA and MO.

You must visit New Mexico for Carlsbad Cavern if nothing else. It's spectacular.

Screw the other states.
