So in general, what kind of vessel is this to be? I'm presuming it's got some historic influence, but how much? What kind?

Need a gunner? Navigator (I'm willing to even get trained properly)? Communications dude?

This is going to be a reproduction vessel of the kind common to fishermen and coastal trade during the period 1760-1820. She looks much like a pinky schooner. She's going to be more accurate than Merganser (though Merganser isn't too bad off). If nothing else, she's going to be much sleeker and faster - easier to row if necessary, too.
