I seem to be getting out of the house more these days. Which is good, but I'm not updating my journal very much. So, in the absence of content, here's a meme:( LJ comment statistics )

lj_nifty is often a good place to find new or overlooked features and tools.

Not an official LJ tool, but you may want to look at ljtoys, where there a wonderful tool to track anyone reading your LJ.

I'd like to see that data organised by a few other factors as well, like the date of the last comment and the average frequency of commenting while a person is 'active' (with a method of setting a certain period of time, say a month, without comments as an inactive period).

LJ used to have a toy where one could find which people shared the most interests with oneself; it was a wonderful tool, I met many fine people through it although the only one I can ever remember is sebab, an ex-horn-player/composer/geek who likes klein bottles. I think at the time we were the only two LJ-ers with klein bottles as an interest. Now to find interesting weirdos I have to leave the house and stuff. Bollocks.

I use Marnanel's Friends List Watcher quite a bit; as you can see from the chart I check it every few days.

A lot of things turn up in lj_nifty.

The person who knows all kinds of stuff about Sanskrit that I was talking about on Sunday is oedipamaas49. Go add, he's great.
