i love reading stuff about the old guard of smtown and how they carry over into current times. it really does make you wonder about how much we don't see and don't know about. your fic really showed that beautifully, and the ambiguous relationship between donghae and hyoyeon feels super realistic. thank you for a lovely piece!

lol, old guard because they're some of the oldest trainees of smtown who are still around now. i guess they are kind of the old guard of the post-HOT-SES-BlackBeat generation. i miss old smtown interactions! need to find old selcas floating around on the internet...

oh okay, i get you now. i know hyoyeon was around even before eunhyuk and donghae, but it's only by like one year.

it's funny, because eunhyuk, donghae, and hyoyeon have always been my biases, i ship eunhyuk with donghae and eunhyuk with hyoyeon, but i never really thought about donghae with hyoyeon. i did squeal over the fancam of hyoyeon, yoona, donghae, and the water bottle. it's funny how many people got yoona/donghae from that... when all i saw was hyoyeon. i'm so glad i came across this - i love your style of writing and how realistic it is. it is succinct and interesting and i hope to read more of it. =) thank you for sharing this!

i never paired them up in my mind before either. i didn't think about them like that until i wrote them one time, and saw that fancam. it's one of the few hyoyeon/donghae moments that exist.
