It just made me so angry, especially (as per previous posts) because the arguments (that they are so insistent must be heard!) are so weak and lazy.

With the HateBus I can't help wondering why reinforcing gender essentialism is so important to that particular set of bigots? It's a whole step (and cost) further than protesting a particular situation/individual/law (as horrible as any of those would be)
It's tempting to go with a corollary of the "the most virulent homophobes are closet cases" route but I don't know if that's actually valid ...
