I read the article, and I'm sort of glad this nutjob guy with the website has had his weirdness publicized in Newsweek...we do need to know that there are crazy folk like him, and what they are up to. If we don't know, we might miss it when they start stirring things up.
I didn't think Newsweek was agreeing with this man's premise...rather, they were showing the weirdness that is going on about our President Elect. I have read the death threats on Obama are at record highs. What is being said and done around him needs to be brought out into the open, in order to better protect him. What do you think?
I grew up in Louisiana. During my last trip home in late summer, there were actually posters around the state about not voting for the anti-christ...f***ing ridiculous!
A young lady my middle son goes to school with sincerely holds this belief, and no amount of 'your basic premises concerning his heritage, upbringing and cetera are completely hooey' has been able to sway her on this point.
I never received any of the email that had gone around (and may still be going around, for all I know) concerning this tripe, but I do know they existed as I've read reliable sources' posts of copies forwarded to them by 'well-meaning' relatives.
And the "I'm not saying anything, I'm just saying..." tone of the article. Guh.
(As to death threats, they seemed to spike dramatically when Sarah Palin began speaking at rallies. Go figure.)
